Compassion

A job that shows compassion for others
Compassion

Veronica Portillo is a hard working woman who is kind, helpful, and approaches everything with good intentions. She was a licensed vocational nurse for many years. However, due to a life changing event, she wanted to do something different that changed the way she saw things. She chose a job to work with people directly who have mental and physical  disabilities and disorders.

This job helps her know the importance of  how she treats her co-workers and her clients with kindness and respect. Veronica has a big responsibility to take care of her family by providing, showing them love and care and sets a good example of what a good life is.

Veronica believes that everyone that she works with should be treated with care and respect.“I treat everyone as if they were my parents or my siblings because we are all going to get older one day and the way they treat people that’s how we’re gonna be treated”

Veronica and her work force made a big impact in their society by helping people with disabilities. Veronica made a positive difference because not everyone will treat people with disabilities equally. The people who have been affected by Veronica’s positive impact will be the people with disabilities families. This is because they are very grateful that their family member is in good hands and with amazing people that treat their family member with love, compassion and respect.

“You have to have a lot of patience, and you have to understand this field and be compassionate for others.” This is important because having compassion for others makes us human and that’s what makes people love each other is treating each other with love and respect.

Veronica encourages people to go to college and try new things so they can enjoy a little bit of everything and to also enjoy life to become a successful and good person so that one day they can do what they love and treat people the way they should be treated.“Go to college, study check it out and if you want you could try this and make a career out of it”

Veronica shows us an example  that we should care about those who have been forgotten and teaches us to try and experience new things in the world along with getting a really good education so you can be successful in life.
