“I know, as Latinos, we say family is important, and yes it is but I think also being yourself being independent of your family you know? You can love your family but still be your own self. I still have my parents and I’m happy I have them and I love them very much, but I think we’re different people so I think it’s difficult as teenagers and as adults it took a long time to say, ‘This who I am.’”
