This is Mr. Venegas, a physical education teacher for 9th graders here at ODLH. He is also an athletic director where he overlooks all the athletics and the girls volleyball coach. The things he enjoys most about his job is interacting and connecting with his students and motivate as well as provide for the young adults that are trying to navigate throughout their lives. One of his best days he’s had so far is making a student that is having a bad day feel better. A way Mr. Venegas copes with a troubling student is by building a relationship with the student so that they know that you are coming from a place of care and make them understand that their actions are not okay and that their actions have consequences and address and give them an understanding to why he is going to take action. As working with kids and having kids as a P.E. teacher is probably the hardest jobs he has. Yet he tends to block off all his personal life and tries to be the best person, father, teacher he can be.
